"Skip TV" is still fondly remembered by Benson's mother to this day,
and served as a launching pad (not literally) for many of its actors, including
Karri Turner ("JAG"), John Hawkes ("Deadwood"), J.P. Manoux ("ER"), and Jordan Black ("Halfway Home").
After spending the next few years eating bags of potato chips over the sink and crying,
Greg began producing and acting in original short films to fill the void in his empty heart.
His first project, "Ace Up My Sleeve," was a drama written and directed by ABC-TV's Edwin Lewis.
Greg would like to take this moment to reassure you that he will not attempt to make another drama.
Greg then wrote, produced and starred in the insane, well received comedy "The Date,"
which won "Best Comedy Short" at the L.A. Raleigh Studios Film Festival, among other awards.
Reuniting him with "Skip TV" co-star Karri Turner, "The Date" marks Greg's first collaboration with director Michael Mayer,
whose previous award winning short "The Robber" aired on HBO and Cinemax.
"The Date" is still making the rounds in the film festival circuit, and is available on the Mediocre Films DVD
along with over a dozen other shorts.
Greg is currently writing, directing, editing and starring in hilarious low-budget shorts available on this website
and at YouTube. He's also gladly accepting donations.
